Tenure

Keep the tag on the bag.

Twelve new members a year — from the people already on your property.

It ranks the repeat golfers, event guests and grille regulars already on your property, answers every inquiry in five minutes, and walks each one to a bag tag. We build it and we run it — first ranked list 14 days after you send three exports.

$4,500 setup + $990/mo, founding rate locked for life. 25 booked visits in 90 days or the setup fee comes back.

The leak

Every year a club this size loses a quarter of a million dollars in dues — and never names the people who would have replaced them.

5–8%

Natural annual attrition at golf and country clubs, per GGA Partners' benchmarking. On a 500-member roster that is 25 to 40 resignations a year — about one every ten days.

21×

How much more likely a lead is to qualify when it is answered in five minutes instead of thirty, per the MIT / InsideSales response study and HBR's Short Life of Online Sales Leads. Most club inquiries are answered the next business day.

+63%

The increase in average club resignation totals in 2023 against 2022, reported by Capstone Hospitality. The direction is getting worse, not better.

The leak, in your numbers

Set your roster and your average dues. Nothing is sent anywhere.

At 7% attrition — the middle of the 5–8% band — a 500-member club loses 35 members a year, which is $231,000 of annual dues off the property. Twelve new members at those dues put $79,200 back on it, every year they stay.

Attrition held at 7%; dues counted over twelve months; initiation fees excluded.

The mechanism

Five steps from a blank tag to a stamped one.

Nobody at the club logs into anything. Replies go out, visits land on the General Manager's calendar, and one page arrives before each board meeting.

  1. I

Find the tags already on the property

Every repeat public golfer, event and wedding guest, grille regular, league player and outing captain, pulled from your tee-sheet, POS and event exports, and ranked by visits, spend and recency. These are warm people who already like the place and have never been asked.

Example only, built from the 500-member reference club above. No club's data is shown anywhere on this page.

  2. II

    Five-minute reply

Every membership inquiry — web form, phone message, walk-in card — is acknowledged inside five minutes, in the club's voice, with the right packet attached and two visit times already held. No inquiry waits for Monday.

Sent 4 min 12 s after the formGolf packet attached

Thank you for asking about membership. I have attached the golf and family packets, and held two times for a Member-for-a-Day round: Saturday 9:40 or Sunday 8:20. Reply with either and the tee time is yours — the round, the cart and lunch are on the club.

If neither works, tell me a morning that does and I will hold it.

Signed by the club, not by us. Illustration of the reply the desk sends.

  3. III

    The path to a tag

One fixed sequence, and every prospect sits on exactly one step of it with a next date against their name: visit → Member-for-a-Day → tour with the General Manager → application → board approval → bag tag issued. Nothing stalls quietly, because a step with no next date is the first thing on the desk each morning.

  4. IV

    Drift watch

Members are measured against their own baseline, not the club average. When a member's rounds, charges or event attendance fall away from what that member normally does, the desk flags it and names the specific invitation to send — the men's member-guest, the junior clinic, a standing Thursday game. A resignation letter is the last step of a slide that started months earlier.

  5. V

    The board number

One page for the finance committee, the same six numbers every month, in the format a board already reads.

Guarantee

Two numbers, in writing, with the conditions printed.

Take this page into the board meeting. Both guarantees are written on the only things Tenure controls — visits booked, and members issued a tag.

The visits guarantee

25 booked Member-for-a-Day visits in the first 90 days live, or we refund the setup fee in full.

The desk exists to put people on the property. If it cannot do that in a quarter, it has not earned the build.

Conditions, in plain words

  • Tee-sheet, POS and event exports reach us in week one.
  • The club honours the Member-for-a-Day offer on at least three days a week.
  • Membership inquiries are routed to the desk, not answered around it.

The members guarantee

12 new members within 180 days, or Tenure is free until they join.

No monthly invoice goes out from the day you reach 180 days until the twelfth bag tag is issued.

Conditions, in plain words

  • Your own approval process runs within 14 days of an application.
  • Dues and initiation fees stay unchanged during the window.
  • The General Manager or membership director takes the tours the desk books.

Why now

One club per county, six clubs in the founding cohort.

Tenure works the golfers who already play your course. Two clubs in the same county would be sold the same people, so we will not take the second one. That is not a marketing device — it is the reason the ranking works at all.

Every founding desk is built by hand from your exports, which is why there are six and not sixty.

  • Fri 30 Oct 2026Founding reservations close, or sooner when the sixth is taken.
  • Mon 30 Nov 2026Founding desks go live — before winter membership drives and spring renewals.
  • $1,000The founding reservation. Refundable until your desk is built, credited against the $4,500 setup fee, and returned in full if we do not build it.

Questions

What a General Manager asks first.

How much work is this for us?

Three exports in week one — tee sheet, point of sale, events — and then the tours. That is the whole ask. We do the mapping, write the packets and run the desk. Nobody at the club installs, learns or logs into anything.

Our systems don't talk to each other.

They rarely do, which is why Tenure takes exports rather than integrations. Any format your tee sheet, POS and events system can produce is fine, including a spreadsheet somebody keeps by hand.

Will this feel like marketing to our members?

Members get nothing except an invitation from the club, in the club's voice, when their own activity says they are drifting. Prospects get a straight answer to a question they asked. There is no blast, no newsletter and no advertising in it.

Who actually replies to an inquiry?

The desk drafts and sends in the club's voice, from the club's address, inside five minutes. Your membership director or office manager sees everything and can take over any conversation at any point. Nothing is ever sent as an anonymous third party.

What if it doesn't work?

Then the guarantees do. Miss 25 booked visits in the first 90 days and the $4,500 setup fee comes back. Miss 12 members in 180 days and you pay nothing further until the twelfth tag is issued. Both sets of conditions are printed above, not buried.

We already have a club management system.

Keep it. It stores your members; Tenure works your prospects and watches your members for drift. It reads exports from what you have and writes nothing back into it.

Why is there a setup fee at all?

Because the first two weeks are hand work: mapping three exports, building baselines from three years of history, writing six packets in your voice and wiring the inquiry routes. The fee covers that build, and a founding reservation is credited against it.

Is Tenure built yet?

No. The founding cohort is six clubs, the desks are built by hand, and the first ones go live on 30 November 2026. A reservation holds a place and is refundable until your desk is built — and refunded in full if we never build it.
